I know, I know, why in the world is a Wealth Advisor reading a book about marketing? As the years have passed, I’ve become fascinated as to why we as humans make the choices we do. Seth’s book does an excellent job of drilling down to how business owners should get their messages across. For example, he illustrated how the Grateful Dead had a unique way of producing music to a specific group of people (their raving fans) who truly appreciated what they were doing. In conjunction, at Falcon Wealth Advisors, we have understood since our founding that we aren’t a once size fits all group, but rather, we cater to a unique clientele. We specialize in retirement planning and we don’t hide behind investment products. Our clients are smart, hard-working, intelligent people who value integrity, transparency and choose to work with fiduciaries (advisors who are legally bound to only act in their best interest). “This is Marketing” gave me further confidence that we are doing the right things for our clients, by not trying to be all things to all people. As a result, our clientele can continue to expect us to focus on retirement planning, as well as maintain our emphasis on transparency by not using investment products.
